Benefits of Chicory while doing Keto

There are different varieties of Chicory like , curly endive, broad leaf endive, catalogna brindisina,and sugar leave chicory. They are generally eaten as salad greens and they can be sauteed or braised.

I create meal plans and recipes that incorporate as many of these greens as possible.

This dish, one of my favorite recipe, is so spectacular. It is completely keto and it utilizes the endive lettuce so well.

Grilled Endive with Chermoula sauce

10 fresh endive leaves

6 slab bacon cooked and roughly chopped

1/2 cup full fat cream cheese

1/4 cup keto Greek yogurt

2 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

3 tablespoon chermoula sauce freshly made

Chermoula sauce

1 tablespoon coriander seed

1 teaspoon cumin seed

3 garlic cloves

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 cup water

juice of 1 lemon

zest of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon paprika

1 cup cilantro

1/2 cup mint

1/2 cup parsley

1 tablespoon thyme

1 teaspoon curry powder

Try this healthy recipe and I believe if you were not already a fan of the chicory lettuce family you will be.

Personally I eat chicory lettuces every day . It keeps me feeling full and I also have lots of energy. This is huge for a person who oftentimes have low energy levels I really feel that my body utilizes the nutrients form them. Along with avocados, tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers I fulfill my daily nutritional requirements. This is very important while on keto. Most people who have health issues or seems to not be able to reach their keto goals are lacking the important nutrition that is vital while doing the ketogenic diet. Utilizing the expertise of a coach can both educate and create a good plan before starting keto.

Education helps with making the right food choices, knowing what's in the food and understanding how our foods are labeled. I realized with most of my clients who are focused on weight loss the weight falls off them. Setting up a meal plan for general well-being is what I usually aim to do and the weight loss become a product of just eating nutritionally.
